cool glad that hasn't happened to me . but mine wont do that now.
typicall D35 garbage.
That axle has been run 2 years on 33" MTZ's with no breakage, Larry ran his harder than I have ever seen anyone run a D35 on 33" Super Swampers, the ones on Ross's Jeep now, and I ran a D35 with 32's for about 2 years HARD before swapping to the 8.8 all with no breakage. EVERYONE calls a D35 garbage when they break. I witnessed a D60 35 Spline Snap after 30 minutes on the trails on 39" Super Swampers, and LArry's D44 Snapped first time on the trail on 36's, so really unless you go to http://www.overkilleng.com/images/bin/1600.jpg (http://www.overkilleng.com/atomicaxlesllc/ATS-JK.htm) or Rocks all axles are garbage!!
This has motivated me to start a new post....

Is that the new full width D35?
I have seen a guy from our club run 35's on his LOCKED D35 for 3 years, with no breakage!
And he went places we couldn't follow
The life of a D35 depends heavily upon 2 things:
1: Driving style, (No 'point and shoot' or heavy right foot action)
2: Tranny: Auto's are easier on the diff's than a stick.
I've also helped swap my share of D35 shafts when they've broken
IMHO, the D35 is good for a DD, MallCrawler, or light wheeling.
But, there are guys who run them on 33's without problems
Just won't be me![]()
