Default XJ D44 Disk Brake Conversion

Well I just committed to the pucrchase of the components from a ZJ Grand Cherokee rear disk brake set up from Grape Ape, and I will be converting my XJ D44 to rear disks.
I won't pick up the parts till next but figured i'd start this write up now.

These are the parts I got minus the axle itself, I helped sell that to another member here.
I am using Stu Olsens write up on this so we will see if its as easy as he makes it sound

also going to use this from pirate

Yep, one was from Stu's site (man he has a LOT of stuff on his site!!)
And I believe this one: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/z...-truth-607435/

The one from Jeep Forum, is for an 8.25, but is very similar.

I believe the D44 swap is easier to do. Stu has a very detailed write up.

I will be watching this! I want to eventually put a Dana 44 with disc brakes in the rear of the Comanche.

Found a few D44's within driving distance......
