    Default engine trouble need help asap

    ok so i got the engine in and all hooked up. had a fuel issue but got that taken care of. now the engine turns over but wont crank. sometimes it tries to. also i noticed what seems to be air coming out of the intake. its small except for one time when it shot out of the intake. any ideas. im at my wits end here.

    Is it a 4.0 by chance?? IF so something you could look at is the crank position sensor, or even the cam position sensor... cause it sounds similar to what my Jeep starting doing a little while back, and it was the crank position sensor...

    yes its a 4.0. where is the CPS on this engine? is it on the throttlebody?

    The Crank sensor is on the top of the tranny bell housing. The Cam Sensor is in the distributor
