Looks great man! Should help over there in hells half acre!
Since my original electric fans (Flex-A-Lite 210) ended up busting off some blades, mainly because I don;t remember checking the clearance when I reinstalled them after changing the rad.
I decided that I should pick up the Flex-A-Lite 575 which are set up for the CJ7.
Install was pretty straight forward. After opening the box, install the custom brackets.
I went ahead and ran and covered the wiring at this point. I wasn't happy that FAL stopped using bullet connectors and started using really cheap butt connectors so I ended up removing the bullets from my old fand and spliced them onto the new ones. After setting up the wiring they way I wanted to I removed the bolts that hold the rad in, dropped the new fan assembly in and bolted it back up using the bolts for the rad.
Being as I already had electric fans wired in I kept the adjustable controller the was installed for the old fans. I saw no point in changing out something that was already working. Besides, I plan on switching the t-stat housing to one from a 4.0 and using a threaded temp sensor later on. The clearance between the fans and the water pump was a bit tight (1/8" or so) for me so I opted to use one of the pull thru fan mounts to increase the clearance and ended up at about 1/2"
It was an easy install except for lining up the bolts thru the fan mounts, rad and into those crappy speed nuts.
looks good. i just put a set of 96 ford contur fans on my cj5 with the 304. the bolt holes were different but it was a dirrect fit to the radiator.
