    Post Turn Signal issues

    So my wife's 98 cherokee classic wants to have the rear hazards on when you turn on the left turn signal. I replaced the hazard/flasher fuse under the steering wheel and nothing..... All the fuses r good and it does it when it feels like it..... I've noticed some other jeeps (cherokees and wranglers) around town with the same problem but have never had the chance to stop them to tell them.... Any input will help....

    Just noticed this on my buddys TJ on the way to Moab. I'll see if he figured anything out yet.

    Same thing with his, the left hand signal. Didn't happen everytime, and sometimes only would flash '4 way' for a flash or 2, then be 'normal'

    I sent Jeeper Willy a PM on my local forum, see if he found out anything yet.

    I just drove through Falcon!! Caught #24 there and headed NE to home after stopping at FrankZ's and grabbing the bumper for Camp MJ Midwest!

    Man I love CO!

    yea..... CO is easy to find trails..... thats y i stayed too.... nothing like this back in indiana!!!!

    We rolled through Sat the 10th. Left Moab around 8am, hit FrankZ's place to grab a bumper, and were hoping to make it to Kearney, Nebraska that night.

    But then the roll pin that holds the gear on the distributor sheared off
    (in Last Chance, CO)

    Got that fixed the next morning, then 20-30 miles later, the frost plug blew out and the block cracked. (between Sterling and Brush, CO)

    Ended up traliering home from there.

    We try and get to Moab as fast as possible, wheel for 5-6 days, then boogie home as fast as we can

    One of these years, I'm going to head out early, so I can take my time and visit folks along the way!

    On the way home, we try and stay together in case anything happens (like my motor blowing!)

    3 of the guys were already gone, one stayed in Moab (he didn't have to be at work until Wed, in Burlington, CO)

    Luckily Dave stayed with me, or I would have been really screwed!!

    Both times (the dizzy and frost plug) I was more than 20 miles from any decent sized town, and needed a tow.

    Oh well, it was still a great trip!! I'm hoping to make a fall run to CO next year. This year was Moab and Camp MJ Midwest.

    Those damn turn signal switch modules are a pain. The same year neon will fit. I have had such bad luck replacing with junk yard pieces (same issues) I wonder if it would just be easier and less frustrating to pony up for a new factory switch module.
    I have pulled them apart and cleaned and regreased with the die electric grease but they are a puzzle to put back together.

    I was able to just use an aerosol electronic cleaner with the tube on it to clean the S*&t out of it, let dry then used aerosol die-electric spray and never had a problem with it till I sold it about 2 yrs later. Good to know about the neon cross fitting.
    Old enough to know better, too young to quit!
