    Default JK rock sliders.....

Are the oem rocksliders on the '07-'08 Rubicons pretty durable or should I just replace them from the start? Anyone have any info? .. I like the Shrockworks sliders on my '03 better anyway............

I have Shrockworks Sliders on order, frame mounted and also keeping the stock rubicon sliders on board. I should have them the end of the month or so. Ordered them this way so I could us a highlift on the sides, if needed, with no worries.

the stock ones will protect your rockers for a while, but they dont provide a good hi-lift point.

Well I dont have a JK, but I have an opinion about the factory Rubicon sliders. Mine held up and took some hard rock hits and all looked well, but when I took them off to put on my Gen Right sliders, I found some seriously messed up body panels. On my passenger side it wrinkled some of the mounting holes up wards like almost an inch which made me have to perform some serious hammer work to get the body flat to put the new ones on. It did that on all the bolt holes that took rock hits near by which was quite a few on both sides, but some were worse then others. I say can them and get some good after market ones if you intend on hammering your ride.
2006 Rubicon Unlimited, 6" Nth degree LA, RE remote reservoir shocks, 4.88's, Alloy USA axles, Yukon Super Joints, Warn Power Plant, Warn bumpers, custom winch plate, and more then I have room to list!

You getting the Mid Width or Stubby bumper? I'm leaning towards the Mid Width and the full rear bumper...

I put the TeraFlex sliders on mine. Poison Spyder customs makes some nice ones too if you're looking for something with a bit of a "wow" factor.
