Default just ordered my winch from 4wd.com

I ordered the smittybilt xrc-8 with the sybth rope and hawse got them to price match down 10 bucks cuase qt has it for 449 and 4wd is 499 so got mine for 489 and 4wd does free shipping so that saved me 70 over qt.

now i know its a SB winch, they suck, if they are pushed they break ect ect. well I can't afford a warn atm. the xrc has a series wound motor and 4wd is offering a LIFETIME no questions asked waranty for 50 bucks. they told me it covered mechanical and electrical so wth

congrats man. A winch is cheap insurance. Actually, you'll be surprised how much "ballsier" you'll get now that you have it. Ha-ha As long as there's something to latch onto, you'll go for it. ha

I have the SB xrc-8, and have no complaints so far. I use it all the time, and for the price, I think it does a great job. Hope you like yours as much.

I rebuilt a warn 8274 as my winter project this year and it cranks...line speed is awesome. I would take my rebuilt 8274 over a new warn 8000. And that what it ended up in the prce range of with rebuild. Congrats on first winch. When your ready to buy your last winch you will buy welcome to warn....lol that sounded like an add

A little while back JP actually did a review of "budget" winches and the Smittybuilt actually got a pretty good review. And with a lifetime warranty??? Who can complain?!?! I say awesome and have fun with it!!

yea the silverback is a champion with a new sticker but alot of the winches in that range are all built in the same spot. only ones I think that are at different spots are warn and superwinch.

Thats one of the reasons I went with smitty it seems alot of the winches out there are basicly the same unit anymore. but as lil Timmy Wilson says " I could be wrong"
