Can't wait to see pics of what it can do once its installed.
I bought it yesterday evening from 4wheelparts.com for 280 shipped. As soon as I get it I will do a write up on it. For all those who don't know me, this was my holy grail part, only to be bought when the jeep was complete. However, after watching Alex (jeepinsoldier) dunk his and proving that the snorkel was cheap insurance on the motor, I decided that it was going to have to be time now. Hooray me!!![]()

You and me both buddy. The ONLY time I've shy'd away from an obstacle was because I didn't have one....game on.
That is really a decent price... Only 2 choices out there for the JK at the moment. ARB doesn't have one out yet, so far only AEV and RR, RR is expensive like $399..... A little much....AEV as a pre filter, looks like a Coleman Lantern but soon will have the other option of the Darth Vader look... Anyhow, pics when installed please....

well i cannot find any water crossing video's with my snorkle. when i had my tj and the day that i pulled out the blazer (see my intro thread) i was running water up to the top edge of my hood with no problems. some other things you may want to look into is relocating/raising all vent lines to help prevent sucking in water. another good thing to do is to possibly repack all bearings and seals with marine grade grease to prevent seapage. also attempt to waterproof all electrical componets and connections.
My vent hoses run up pretty high as it is. The front to the top of the radiator, and the rear to the top of the fuel fill up hose. I was contemplating raising them up higher, but need to evaluate the most logical locations. Last thing I want is hot gear oil spraying inside the tub. I do like your marine grade grease idea though. Any ideas where to start on that?
Congrats Korisu on the pending snorkel, give me a call and I'll come help out. The marine grade grease sounds like a great idea, what vent hoses need to be considered? I hadn't thought of them as I prep toward being able to ruin my carpet...
