Then throw in the misc rear diff/axle and engine stuff:

    AMC20 2 piece shaft:

Burnt valve cuased by bad (brand new) HEI dizzy, Apr/May '08:

Broken cross shaft: AMC 20 (had 1 piece Superior axles in it)

One piece Superior axle shaft: (well, now it's a 2 piece!)

    Cracked piston skirt:

    Broken downpipe flange:

Well, you get the idea. It would be nice if something easy would go, like a U-joint or driveshaft. But noooooo, When I do it, I do it GOOD!

Guess that's why my CJ earned it's nick name!!

Just peeled the Bad Mojo off last month, guess it's going back on!!!

Well, if this 'new' 258 I'm dropping in runs, "Bad Mojo" is making the run to Camp MJ Midwest!

Not to worry, so far none of the bad luck has rubbed off on any other rigs

Damn, Randy, As many times it's been apart you could've dropped a small-block chevy between the rails!!

That's funny! I still have the 350 sbc w/4 bolt mains that I had in it!!

When I bought the CJ, it was in pieces, and the 151 4 banger was shot. So the first motor I ever stuck in it was a 350 from a '74 1 ton GMC van.

After rebuilding the tranny 3 times, and replacing many driveshafts, I bought a rusted out '84 CJ7 and used the drivetrain from it.

Really thinking hard about a Fuel Injected motor, maybe a 4.3 Chev or even a V8

For now, just want to get it running again, so I can work on the XJ over the summer and have it ready for next winter.
