Rear axle ?
When I grab and shake the tires on both sides of the rear there is some play and knocking. I'm guessing that the knocking is the C-clip retaining the shafts.
My question is, is there supposed to be play? If not are my bearings going bad?

Yes, there is supposed to be *some* play. I have an 8.8 with the c clips. You need to be able to move the shaft in to take pressure off the c clips to remove them. But when the wheel is on, there is no movement. However, to much play could be your bearings going bad. Any whistling from them?
No and the play is only when I shake it straight out and in... But there is no play when I shake it from the sides ie one side towards the axle one side away... I'm just covering my basis to ensure its normal
