i would say for that price go with a full traction 3 inch economy lift. it settles at about 4.5 inches and is more than capable of fitting 33's with no rubbing. The swaybar disco's is comes with are fine, so no need to buy new ones. for tires I would say super swamper 33's or procomps. for wheels, procomp steelies are about 50 bucks each and can be fixed when bent. if you don't have lockers, look into salvaging. lastly if you can afford it, on board air is AMAZING for airing back up.

Lockers are a traction device. They install in the differential (axle) and when 'locked' they make both tires on that axle turn, even if one has no or little traction.

I forget, is your Jeep a YJ or a TJ? Either way, Stu Olsons site has some great info, and he writes in a way that's wasy to understand.

I don't own a TJ, but still use his site alot!

So many options based on what you want your build to be!

Lift and tires, regear, tube fenders, lockers, armor..... It's whatever you want it to be! WOOT, I love having a Jeep!!

If you want low COG, but bigger tires on a stock set-up, you can go with highline (home-brew or kit), tube fenders, metalcloak, or trimmed fenders.

If you want to keep your lift cheap so you can spend on armor, you can do a BB (budget boost) to get 2.5" of lift, without major work to the driveline and/or steering, and you can start putting your money towards toher options like armor, lockers and the like (if you're going to do a slow build, I don't suggest locking or gearing a D35 rear axle if you ever plan on going over 33" tires)

If you want it to be a weekend warrior mall-krawler, grab a quadratec catalog, and just buy the pretty stuff inside, lol. (This is the first thing I wanted to do when I first got my jeep)

Asking for suggestions is good, but research, research, research! Learn something new, ask around about it, look up threads in different forums, ask for pics if you're unsure... Most of us have wasted money on some "mod/upgrade" that we failed to research properly, and it ended up just being money down the drain.
