For the most part your D35 isn't sturdy enough for a locker. It has to be the weakest rear axle in the modern Jeep line. Your D30 front can handle a locker better, but since you don't have lock-out hubs I wouldn't suggest a front locker for handling/steering purposes.
Like many have suggested in a different thread (New/Old Locker...cool), save your money, and head to a pull-a-part, and find a Ford 8.8 (with disc brakes & the same gear ratio as your front axle) and use that as your starting point for an axle built.
A local Pull-a-part (by me) sells axles for like $75 to $180 dollars, even 1 ton's. So shop around, and make those pennies count for something.
