Looks nice.
I figured you guys might like this. I figured I would give it a shot and see if I could save some cash and make my own bikini top. 10 bucks for the Shelter Half a few bucks for grommets and someone you know that will let you use their sewing machine. I am having issues posting pics, but there are a couple more in my album.

Looks nice.
Dude, I gotta say...that was pretty inspired! I doubt it would keep the rain out much, but it'll keep the sun off!
Dang, now I'm gonna have to dig mine out when I get home!![]()
Just because the road stops doesn't mean you have to!
Little bit of Scotchguard should keep it water repellant! I made one kinda the same years ago for my FJ40, but it didn't look nearly as nice! Good Job!
That's really cool. You get a bunch of 'em from DRMO and you could build yourself a little fortune.
NIK WAX will water PROOF it. it's ten bucks a jug and is the best water proofing stuff I've ever used. It's wash in, can't see it or smell it. I use it on my snowboarding gear. There are different types for different materials.

"Some people will tell you that slow is good -- and it may be, on some days -- but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube."HST
As I woke this morning to the blast of another mortar (yea) It made me remember how different the Army was when I came in in 1990. The use of "shelter halves" or bivys is a long dead aspect I think.. isn't it? Shoot, most these folks would barely recognoze BDU pattern on a poncho liner! Heehee.
Which makes me glad you chose this for you build..nothing like the smell and feel of good old fashioned canvas!!! And od green is the best color!!!
