Anyone made one? I have a benchseat so center console is out. I need a ****ing radio. Now! hahah. I can't do the dash because it leaks like a strainer, so I'm thinking a box with speakers made into one and just running power wires to it.

...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

sidenote: also, no fabbing. i have neither the tools or the money to pay someone to do it.
I mounted one under the seat of my 53 that used a remote. No one knew it was there until they rode in the truck. I almost forgot to take it out when i sold it. Good luck.
Old enough to know better, too young to quit!
I was considering a Waterproof radio when I did a lot of mudding....
Yeah, check out the Marine stereos. I have those Pyle speakers in my CJ!

I had the same problem, so made mine from an ammo can. I took the handle off, and cut the lid to fit my radio with a jig saw, then cut hole in the bottom/back of the can to feed wires through. A couple of 1/4'' bolts through the side of can up into the bottom of dash and you're done. I also put a sheet metal screw through the lid latch to deter easy access. The lid still opens with raido in it for ease of plugging in the wires. As long as I keep it above water the raido stays dry. 006.jpg

I like the ammo can idea. You can completely seal that off so no water gets in. You can also get this:

And cover up the face plate as well.
Marine radio's are a waste of money in my opinion and really don't offer much better protection than your normal radio.
