    Angry Probably impossible

So, after pulling the motor and fixing the rear main seal, I decided to fix the water pump situation that I had. A couple bolts had broke off and it was leaking. After getting the pump off and drilling the bolts, I put the easy out on it and cracked the timing chain cover. So, now I have a worthless motor sitting on a stand and taking space in my buddy's garage.

Does anyone know where I can get the timing chain cover VERY cheap? I am sure everyone knows that junkyards are very scarce for Jeep stuff, especially AMC stuff. Sorry I don't have pictures, I have been too pissed off here lately to even go back and look at it.

    Default Junkyards...

SalvageJeep is in between Savanah and Valdosta IIRC. He will have one used. Or a trip up to the Pull-a-part south of the airport will usually net you one. There is a secon PAP north of the city run by the same company..prices are good, selection is hit or miss but you can get an idea from their on line search engine if they have any waggys or J trucks. Remember that all AMC timing covers interchange too..Good luck! And don't feel bad...I've done much worse!!

I would have done it this way or welded it but it cracked all the way down into the bolt hole. I have a wierd feeling that it would be too weak.
