    Default DIY Bedliner- MONSATLINER

So Keeping with the DIY projects that I seem to constantly get myself into, I decided to takle the DIY bed liner. I priced Line-X and Rhino Liner and they were any where from $700 to $1200!! Too much for my blood. I then started looking for the DIY kits. Herculier I dont like because it seems to constantly need attention. Even if you prep correctly. Duplicolor is a big NO NO. So then a fellow jeeper on JKO and good friend sent me the Monstaliner website. I began doing research and found it to be what I was looking for. An easy to apply rollon that can be sprayed if necessary. Good coverage, great UV protection (5yr. minimum guarantee) and sturdy as all the others. So last week I ordered it.

I ordered a 2 gal kit (1 gallon will do a 4dr JK) that me and my buddy split the cost on. So for around $120 I will have a great looking bedlined JK tub. Here are some pics as I was rollling it on this morning. This is the first coat. I know I know looks kinda shitty. But the second coat is where all the majic come from.

I'll post up more as I go. Need to wait 4 more hours til I can apply the second coat but will get pics up soon after that.

Ok, second coat went on with no issues. All the little areas that needed that extra coat got exactly that. The texture is awesome and just what I was looking for. I will post more pics after I eat, get a and stand back and admire what the hell I just did.

Looks great!! And the cost is good ($60 per gallon, right?)

My Herc has been fine, hasn't needed any 'attention' (the exposed stuff is painted over, so no UV fade)

Why is Dupli-color a "NO-NO"? PO used it on my XJ, and it's held up great.

I used the Herculiner as well and it hasn't needed any attention. And I've been running it for a year+. It's had mud and blood (from an elk) on it and it has all just hosed off.

Good to hear no issues with Herc or Duplicolor. I have heard and had horror stories with it.

This whole kit for 2 gals and the applicator stuff cost me $240 shipped. A buddy and I split the kit so $120 for me total.

I just finished putting it all back together and will get pics up here shortly. Gotta make a and food run.

Looks good.... Was actually thinking of Monstaliner... but didn't see too much info or comments on how it is... I was thinking the same kit you got, as I am going to do the interior of my XJ, as well as my wife's 04' Ram's bed...

Looks great. What kind of issue did you have with the Duoli-color? I used it on my CJ about 2 years ago and so far no problems.
