Default Summer is here...TJ getting HOT? OEM mod!!!!

This is an inexpensive mod that WORKS. I have run these on my TJs since 2000. Living here in the desert street temps in the city can run in the 130's + in the late summer. I also run a Supercharger on my rig and engine bay temps can be high to say the least.

This is a 30 min mod with nothing but a plumbers wrench (due to the size of the nut). Here is a writeup/pics: http://www.savagesun4x4.com/enter/fa...clutch_in.html

TSB applies to 2000 - 2006 Jeep TJ/LJ with SINGLE large nut that hold on the fan/clutch assembly.

Got overheating problems? I GOT solutions beyond this, just ask me and start reading here: http://www.savagesun4x4.com/enter/te...ric_vs_me.html

Thinking about the Electric Fan as a solution...caution read the above first.

    Savage,

How much did this fan really help?

I'm thinking about this on my 06 LJ Rubi.

Big G its a major improvement especially for rock crawlers, because it moves so much air at slower vehicle speeds. However finding that fan will not be easy. After I discovered the fan upgrade and did my write up which I posted on my website and all the forums I was on back in those days there was a run on the fans, whether or not there are any left in inventory or not I do not know, I am sure there are some place. If you do this please post on your success on finding the fan...

I upgraded to a Ford Explorer fan and clutch for the same reason, heat. It was a direct bolt on and easily found. The Ford clutch needs to be used since the fan bolt pattern is slightly different.

That could be a good alternative to the Jeep fan, so if you have parts numbers or other data that could help folks find the fan at their Ford dealer please post up...
