Default Good Deal or Not For The Last Day of The Month???

2008 JK Rubicon Unlimited (soft top) - about $32k final price

    trading in my

2005 stock TJ Sport with almost 30k miles (soft top)

told the salesman if he could finance it for no more than $300 / month for no more than 72 months we would have a deal. That would amount to a sub-total of $21,600.00 + $16k for my trade in - $8500.00 for my payoff and would grand total about $29,100.00. So they would eat the balance of about $2,900.00 + tax, title, & tag (don't forget the $750 loyalty rebate). sounds decent to me, not sure if they'll go for it...probably not! it is the last day of the month and they were bitching about quota.

    what do ya think?

oh yeah...we were just going to look!

yeah...prolly best to sell private party. they wanted me to pay $400 / month...can't swing that right now with the rest of the bills...not only that...didn't sound like much of a deal to me!

Those JKs are too nice for me... I had to run away from the 4 dr Rubicon I was sitting in.. I was getting WAY too comfortable.

The last thing I need is another vehicle...

    Keep the TJ.
    Mods are way cheaper.
If your wanting to wheel it, your gonna want to have older just cause you will cry less when it breaks.

Honestly whats the purpose in getting a new JK? Though I know if Georgia said I want one, I would probably be over there soon enough.

If its for Munchkin hauling while wheeling, look at getting a XJ (Cherokee) even a WJ (Grand Cherokee).

Keep the TJ. Your wallet will thank you.
Also don't forget the secondary cost of Insurance, did you call them and see what it would run you?

it's funny you mention the insurance cost. i can't remember where i saw / heard someone else mention that. i haven't gotten a quote...is the difference that drastic?

yeah...we really couldn't afford it right now anyway. prolly just going to put more money to the TJ loan to pay it off a little quicker...or should i just put that extra money to a lift & tires...hmmmm...i'm already selling stuff on craigs list in attempts to get a jump start on the lift & tires

I just checked my policy. I am paying $1150 for full coverage. That is about $100 more than my wife's car and $420 less than a 1988 Bronco that came off the policy. The bronco didn't have collision on it. I don't know if that will help you.
