Cool idea, especially for the guy on expedition, or the folks who like fire roads and such, where full on mods aren't needed.

I kind of like being in control of my rig though

For a DD I wouldn't mind it, imagine being able to 'lift' the body up above the fresh 8" of snow?

I wonder if there will be much aftermarket support, like lifts and stuff, or if it will be to expensive?

Don't know, but that would be one hell of a thing to try to fix on the trail when someone's automatic quadralift quits.

Fully independent suspension front and rear, no more solid axle out back, since it is brand new, doubtful any of the major lift companies have had one to do a build on and develop any kind of lift, but my money will be on AEV, Superlift or Teraflex having something soon. Chrysler may have contracted with a lift company to make something for it that they can sell over the counter like they do for the JKs. The new Grand Cherokee may be the last vehicle from Chrysler with Mercedes Benz fingerprints on it. The Quadralift was a joint venture for them and you can get it on the M-B SUVs as well under a differant name. What I like is the new 290 hp V-6 that gets 23 mpg...need to put that in the JK and dump the mini-van based 3.8L. They did have one at Moab and it did okay according to the right ups, but has given up some of its off raod ability. It is far superior on the street to the model it replaces and that is what Jeep was after, they need to lure more Ford Explorer and Japanese SUV buyer to Jeep to stay viable and that is who they went after with the new WK.

It's a pretty nice mall crawler... 11 inches of ground clearance won't get you very far unless you're going down dirt roads and such to get to your fishing hole or campsite.

I'll likely be buying one in Sept once they come out with the new Interior Overland Saddle color I want. They are pricey, but they fit the bill for what I'll use it for (long trips and occasional camping/fishing trips). Should be able to tow the CJ5 with it as well with the Hemi 5.7 upgrade. Believe it has a 7400lb tow capacity. Everyday I regret buying my CJ5.........too small to do anything I want with it as far as the outdoors.

Speaking of your '5, what is the status of it now?

Haven't seen you post anything new on it for a while?
