    Default Schedule of Events CMJRM

    Schedule of Events:
    6 Aug 2010
1700 – 1800: Registration, Vehicle Inspection, Giving out of raffle tickets, Trail Assignment.
    7 Aug 2010
    0900 – 1600: Guided Trail Rides
    1200 +/- Lunch (BYOL)
1700 – UTC: Pot Luck, Ticket Drawings and General Mayhem
    8 Aug 2010
    Go Home
    NOTES:
    1. During registration we will be asking where individuals are staying, a way to be contacted. This will help us get personal property back to you if it gets forgotten. We will also cover the Raffle, Pot Luck, Trail Assignments, and any other topics of confusion.
    2. Vehicle Inspection is for your safety as well as everyone else’s that is involved in the event or may happen to be on the trails. We will require recovery points front and rear, and recommend that you bring your own recovery straps at a minimum. If you have recovery straps, please ensure they are rated adequately for your vehicle. A 3,000 lb ATV strap isn’t going to do much for a Grand Cherokee.
    3. Trail Assignment will help us keep the groups small and enjoyable. Because these are public trails, there comes a point where too many vehicles can take away from the experience because everyone will just want to get through the trail, or hours will be spent trying to get through one obstacle. The point of this event is for everyone to enjoy themselves. There are plenty of options and trails that everyone can enjoy.
    4. Times for Guided Trails are dependent on which trails people wish to ride on. There are a couple of trails 45 minutes to 60 minutes from the KOA. Groups for these trails will likely leave a little bit earlier. When leaving for a trail, please ensure that you not only bring the clothing you are wearing, but also some that will keep you warm. Colorado weather is known to change drastically, especially in the mountains. It could be 90 and sunny one minute and snow the next. Last week one of the local mountains had snow on it again.
    5. Lunch should be brought by each individual along with extra beverages (water is recommended). Alcohol will not be tolerated on the trail. Also bring extra water and food in case the group gets stuck on the mountain.
    6. Ticket drawing will be held at 1800 (ish). This is dependent on when everyone makes it back to the KOA. If you make it back, please be present for the ticket drawing. If you do have to go somewhere during this time, let someone know so we can wait on you. If we do the drawing and you are not present, we will move on to the next ticket.
    7. Friday is the get there by day and Sunday will be packup and go home. There are some COS members who will be wheeling these days as well, everyone is invited to join, but it will not be part of CMJRM.

Very well put Sven! I really like the write up! I'm going to add one thing after talking to KOA again yesterday. On Saturday the 7th. KOA has us scheduled to start prep'ing for dinner at approx 1700. We have the cook shack until 1900 then there is an ice cream social and we will be sharing that area with the rest of the camp.

He didnt mention anything about cost but I would not be suprised if we had to pay for a bowl. They will be serving it in "Texas sized" bowls

I emailed Mike again today. He is in Seattle right now. I am calling him on Friday as soon as he gets back into his office. Staying on the subject of beer per the owner of KOA. Alcoholic beverages have to stay at the camp site.
