Default Propane on a 383 stroker...

i did this for the sole purpose of being able to ride on my hood ...
pretty straight up install, i'm a cheap guy, so i pieced most of it tgether, between e-bay and local prpane stores i got it done.

if you have any ques. feel free to post and i'll try and answer them.

The carb setup worked good in FL... it ain't worth a damn in these hills.

kit i got off of ebay for a little less than half off...
    1.
    20 gal fuel cell out...
    2.
    hard and soft lines out...
    3.
just in case i did need fuel leave a temp fuel line.
    4.
    still got some cleaning...
    5

note to self... when you swap axles and do a test run, don't forget the vent tubes...
    6.
    7.

well had to get an adapter plate for the intake... started to fit everything up before the put together...

    how about this?
How else to make a bracket, scrape steel right?
the old holder from our broken 2K lb winch from harbor freight, my old axle brace and a piece of scrape metal

    looking good now right?...

with the evaporator hooked to the carb i get nothing.. so i brought the scout up to make sure i have vacuum... nuthing, but at least now it freezez

my issue was the hose from the evaporator and the carb was to far. i don't know exact length, but mine works and it is around 12"

other than a couple things it won't be long...

she is pretty much done for now...

this am started with replacing the shifter as i melted the cable to the exhaust last night setting the timing. and it as been under the water and mud so many times it has started to go out lately..
    out with the old

    in with the new

of course i needed to bleed the brakes... so i used my christmas present.

then i finished up with the tank mount, i used the 3" flat stock for the underneath.

only going to run one, so Mr. Wrinkles will have room.

oh yeah he got a treat today also.

    motor is tuned

got her all timed up and she running REALLY good. i had no idea propane was 110 octane, which actually woke the stroker up.

very cool man! I've seen other complete propane kits, but (money-wise) how much do you have into all the parts?

some hoses and clamps 40 bucks
tanks 150 for the 3 from a local guy

so around 450 or so. which is cheaper to me than going fuel inj.

    about 4-5 hours a tank.

1 tank cost me about 21.00 bucks... as of right now i can ride a good weekend on the threes tanks. which is actually cheaper than the gas tank i had.
