Awesome find man
I was researching if it was legal to completely remove my rear fender flares in Texas since one of the bushwhackers got whacked pretty good by a rock and is cracked pretty bad. I stumbled upon this site which provides state by state info on lift laws and other stuff related to modifying your Jeep (vehicles). It may come in handy some day as a reference or at least help you find the official answer since most of the information I read was cited. The only thing I could not find was links to where the info (was cited) came from.....that would be a big help since to be extra sure you have to try to hunt down the official regs.
Anyway, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.
If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?

I'm liking New Yorks laws!
`89 YJ 33's 4" lift, High-lined front and rear "The Mistress"
** NOTE TO SELF** it is illegal to stab stupid people in the eye with a pencil
Grevus, interesting, because Peterson 4WD is doing a series over the next several months on lift laws and started with the North East. When it came to NY they stated that the law was to complex to comprehend and just listed a link for you to research them for yourself...maybe you should send them a note and get published
My experience over the past 25+ years of Jeep ownership is that lift laws generally get ignored unless you act like an @$$ while driving on the street and get stopped for some other infraction, your State requires a safety inspection or you get into an accident and your insurrance or the other guys insurrance company decides they don't want to pay. If you behave your self you normally will not have a problem.
Nice find, Thanks for posting it.

The disclaimer on the site says something about how it should not be considered legal advice or something like that. I would double check if you are lucky enough to find it in the resource cited. They seem to keep the site updated a little since I saw some recent news concerning lifts and stuff on the front page.
