    Default longer front brake lines

Some one correct me if I'm wrong but I think I recall reading that the YJ brake lines are 2-3" longer then the TJ ones?

I'm about to slap on new cal's pads and lines and figured now would be right to get longer ones
So without breaking the bank on aftermarket braided lines what are my choices for a 98 TJ?

If I am reading it right, the price for the stainless lines up front are less than the rubber ones from Rocky Mountain...one thing to consider on your TJ is moving where the brake lines comes thru the inner fender on your TJ as well. I ripped mine apart up at Chinaman's a few years ago because my M/T hit the bracket with the wheel turned hard left at full stuff. I think this requires replacing the hard line that comes down from the block on the fire wall however.

See stu-offroad link in this thread: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/yj...-issue-280091/
    Two thoughts on that:
1 - Seeing a fairly long metal line at the end of the rubber line, I wonder about stress on the metal line. So I'd look under a stock YJ to confirm they don't have any sort of mount at the upper end of the metal section. If not, seems fine to use on the TJ. Pretty sure this is what my son co-owner did on our lifted '98 but can't ask him at the moment.
2 - i definitely don't agree with "my brake lines have been rubbing for years - not a problem".
