Default Can Anyone Help Me - 82 Jeep Jamboree

Found a 82 Jeep Jamboree for sale but it needs some frame work. mainly the rear end. Carb need to be rebuild which is cheep and a new radiator. Problem I am having is that I can'tget a quote on the frame with out taking it to a shop. Jeep will cost 2500 but i don't want to have to shell out thousands of dollars to fix it up. Can anyone help me out.

And no, I wouldn't spend that. Its just a trim model, even if it IS limited. If it was D.O.R but had a solid frame i'd go for it, but a bent frame is bad news for over 1k.

Ah-HA! Gotcha! I don't know why I was thinking he was overseas somewhere and had discovered some Jeep oddball!?! LOL!
I will concur fully with tickwomp, frames are not excessivley expensive in and of themselves but require a huge sum of labor (and $$ if you can't do it yourself!). The remainder of the jeep would have to be near flawless for me to warrant that kind of $$. If your trying to get into a jeep for cheap...keep looking. For the kind of dough your talking about you'd be better ahead finding one with a blown motor and the rest in good shape. Imagine if you sank a couple grand into replacing the frame and then had the motor die a week or two later!?! Ack!

I'd say a bent frame is bad news for any price.... unless its free, or being sold for parts

Yeah. I meant if all the Jeep needed was a motor it might be worth something to you if you really love that model or something. If someone told me 2k will get me a Willys that hasn't moved in 30 years, i'd hop on it for the rebuild as long as the rest was in good condition.
