    Default Heep won't start

So yesterday I went to go to work, turn the key and no start. Everything powers up but the starter won't kick over. I started digging into it after work and have it pretty much narrowed down to the ignition switch. I hooked the positive to the S terminal and the starter kicked over. So I took today off to swap out the ign switch and of course there is now a chance of rain and I'm parked in the driveway not in the garage. Wish me luck, I'm hoping I can get the switch off the column without pulling it. Any other areas I should look at if this doesn't pan out, and yes, I've already check all the fuses and other common crap. I'm just hoping it doesn't end up being some where in the wiring, I HATE ELECTRICAL.

No measurable rain here for over 150 days and today it has to rain, and it started as I was crammed under the dash Not warning sprinkles, just a Noah's ark style downpour. Now I'm soaking wet waiting for it to stop so I can get this done. I hate mother nature

I've got a quick question while I'm waiting for my ark to float. Is the Acc. position on the CJ with the key turned to the rear? My key does no go back only forward. I want to make sure I've got the new switch set right the first time so I don't have to pull it back out to move it.

I hope so, this is frustrating as hell. I've replaced ign switches before and I've never had problems like this. On a good note, at least the rain quit. Of course it only rained when I was crammed under the dash, TWICE. The second time, I went to get out and my foot slipped on the wet driveway and sent me crashing into the door entry bruising my ribs on the right side, and to top it off the sun came out and it ended up being almost 100 and about 60% humidity. Nothing like working in a sauna. If I ever meet mother nature.......She's getting bitch slapped.

ACC should be one position forward, or at least it is on my CJ. I just went out and checked. The full rear position allowed me to take out my key.

That's the way mine is. I even checked I'm thinking that if I line up the switch and bolt it down first, then plug in the harness I might have better luck. Yesterday didn't work out so good. Every time I went to install the new switch the damn thing would move on me. Between that and the weather, I didn't stand a chance.
