Passenger side low beam not working, but high beam works

I have aftermarket headlights that have been good to me the past few years. On the way back from PT this morning, one of the road guards yelled that I had a light out. I got home and checked and found that the passenger side low beam is out, but the high beam works.

I really don't want to drop the money on new bulbs and wait for them to be shipped only to find out it is something else, so is there anything I can check?

We just had the rainstorm from hell these past few days, but I am guessing the ol' girl just up'd and died and I will need a new bulb.......but ya never know so I am posting here.

Update: Pulled the bulb and one of the filaments was toast.

I guess you'd have to just start looking at your connections. Your aftermarket lights came with new wiring and the whole kit and kabudle right? I'd just check your connections, and if they look good spring for the new bulbs. If they still don't work, then you have spares and we can go from there

Nope, just the bulb piece and a new glass housing piece. Pretty much plug and play. I may stop by autozone and pick up a cheap light to test out.

if the wires have power through them it's probably just the bulb. (that only really matters if you have a meter at home. if not, Korisu said all I would say)

I agree just get a cheap bulb and try it. if it doesn't work investigate.

Can you swap sides to test the bulb?

Yea swap bulbs. If that doesn't work test power at the harness. When looking at the factory harness the upper most slot that is horizontal controls low beams.

if you upgraded to removable bulbs (h4) then you can get them at any auto parts, no reason to order them.

just grabbed some from autozone. lady said if i ended up not needing them i can return them.

Pulled the bulb and one of the filaments was burnt out. Time to replace the bulbs and try to find the cause of the flickering odometer and radio that cuts off mysteriously.
