    Default steering doesnt feel right

I have an 02 TJ that I just lifted roughly 4". I added JKS quick disconnects, JKS adjustable track bar and Skyjacker steering stabilizer up front and I disconnected the rear trac bar and havent installed my new JKS adjustable rear trac bar that is sitting in my garage. So, pretty much all I have disconnected at this time is the reaer trac bar. Now here is my problem. The steering feels loose. I have actually become used to it so it doesnt bother me that much but when my wife drives it she says it feels as if she is all over the road. Not sure what the problem is. Is it normal to feel "loose" when lifted? Does the rear trac bar being disconnected affect the "looseness"? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.

the rear trac bar being loose would probly make a larger difference in corners to her. where is your front sway bar adjusted to? If memory serves me right (heh) then the "sway bar" should be roughly 10 deg above lvl to get the correct tension. not the quick disco links you installed but the actual sway bar.

besides those you may need some adj front uppers to get the caster angle dialed in, too little and it will feel a bit "loose" going down the road

Without a rear track bar on a tj your rear axle will be moving all over the place. The insides of your back tires have probably already rubbed on the upper frame coil mont and made some nice marks on your rear tires

Haven't looked to see if there are any marks but it does make some halacious rubbing noise when slowing down to a stop or just plain slowing down. I know what I'm doing tomorrow. As for the sway bar, I have no clue what it is set at. All I did was set my discos to what JKS said to set them for 4" lift. I will check the angle tomorrow. Going to do these two things first to see if that cures my problem before I go buy new uppers.

Again, thx a million for the help.

Maybe the Jeep is rebeling against you, due to your poor taste in Football teams Put some Black and Gold on it and it will run better
Seriously though you need trac bars on the coil suspension to keep them under control. There are a lot of other factors that can cause that though. Worn componets are another likely cause.

You're actually driving a tj without a rear track bar?
The track bar is what holds the axle in place under the jeep, without it it will be moving all over the place..... I wouldn't even think about driving it in a straight line longer than a few feet without the track bar.
Put the track bar in, then tell us how the steering is.
