Default Working on a Jeep trail

I got another chance to work on a Jeep trail today.

Well, not just any Jeep trail, but the ONLY Jeep/ORV (no quads allowed) trail in the entire state of MN that is not inside an OHV park!!

Hoping the Mesabi Mtn Trail will be open by the summer of 2012, until then, it's work.

Of course, you need to get to the work!

We had about dozen guys today, all made up from clubs in the northern part of the state.

Turned out to be a beautiful fall day, with temps in the high 50's, perfect for working!

I can't run a chainsaw, or brushcutter, so I pitched brush and took some pics.

Left all the big trees like maple and oak:

Of course, I couldn't get away without damage

Drove 100' with no rubber on the wheel! Thought it was the tailpipe, but no. (lost the muffler earlier)

Scotty (yabutt on here) had some steering problems:

I needed 2 tugs (Master Pull Super Yanker in action!!!!)

"kyote caller" had a run in with a couple of trees:

Austin heading out. If the rig looks familiar, he bought it from 'russell', an MJ member who couldn't make it this weekend:

'kyote caller' bought everyone BBQ dinner afterwards. Place was packed! We ate outside, in 40 deg temps.

All in all a great day, we got almost one mile of trail cut.

I lost a tire, muffler, tailpipe, got some new dents, and almost ripped the mirror off the pass side.

And we weren't wheeling! We just drove in to where we were cutting!

    Great day!

    Sounds like a fun time!
Just because the road stops doesn't mean you have to!

Looked like a really nice time. It's also nice that there will soon be a new trail to play on.
