    Default AEV Brute kit?

I just got the Quadratec Summer 2008 Essentials catalog and it got me dreaming about the AEV Brute kit again.. what are everyone's thoughts on that kit?

IMO, the perfect rig would be one of those with a 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI swap

that would be like $20k in aftermarket right there though... that's not coounting the wheels, tires, lift, lockers, bumpers and other accessories..

    ugh...

(And yes I know it's only for TJs)

They make some sweet components, but they are pricey...and they are for TJs.

Yeah...too rich for my blood. There was one last fall sometime that was a shop's demo rig and it rolled over on a ride. Throttle or gear got stuck, hit a JK and they both rolled.

Saw it--looked pretty neat but very pricy, you can buy like 10 xjs for that price.

I have put some serious thought into doing the brute conversion also but after adding up the total...it just isn't feasible.

I do like the proposed J8/JK pickup though

Considering that it has an AEV hood on it....they must be helping with the development.

I think AEV is the shyt! There stuff is top notch quality but you get what you pay for. If money was no object (IE I won the lottery lol) I'll call them and order a loaded out Hemi Unlimited tomorrow and be in Moab the next day lol..

I really like the look of the Brute but the price kinda silly. Before I saw anything about the Brute, I had thought about taking a Commanche bed, cutting it down and doing the same thing.

I've been in that rig. The JT is one of my favorite Concepts and would be the first 'ORT' in the Jeep lineup if it's released. AEV may be pricey, but man their stuff looks awesome.. wheels, fenders, hoods.. love it.
