made lanyards for the little nylon strap that makes the seat tumble on the early TJS picks to follow.

Can you post pics of the top hold-down and also how to make the braided strap? My second set of nylon straps are ripping and I want to end the nonsense.

If you want to use my idea I can post up instructions on how to do the braid.

I also use 550 cord to hold down the back part of my soft top, when i "convert" it to a safari top. I just tie it around the frame and tie the other part to a couple holes in the body.

for the top hold down, its just tied onto the soft top frame and then looped through a hole in my body (above the tailgate bar) I'll try to get a pic.

as for the door straps, here is where i learned the braid, other than that, you just need to measure out the length, http://www.instructables.com/id/Para...elease-buckle/ pics to follow

measure out the right length as shown and start the braid with the bracket on the door as show

I used a 1/2 socket wrench for the other side of the braid (The side the braid starts out on) you kinda have to use your noodle to figure out the start.

then you just start to braid!

This was my first official mod on my newly purchased 07 JKU. I found the DIY thread on another forum. They're made out of 550 cord and 3/16" shackles. About $7 worth of supplies to make both and each handle gives me access to 16' of 550 and 2 shackles that hold up to like 530lbs I think. I'm knew here so is it okay to post the link to another forum's DIY article. If so, I will be happy to.
