I've got a 35 with 3.55's in it you could have. A bit difficult getting it there and you would have to strip and weld mounts to it, but if you want it, it's yours.
The rear on my 89 YJ is a 4.11
It is bent, so I need to swap it out. It would be AWESOME to do an upgrade, but because I'm still running a 2.5L in it, an upgrade is not the best idea until I an upgrade the engine too. The junk yards here in East Texas are like barren wastelands when it comes to Jeep or chrysler parts. If any one knows of a rear that would swap out with mine, please let me know. I dont mind driving to come get it in other areas of texas or neighboring states (AR,OK,LA,TN)
I appreciate you all keepin an eye out.

Is there any pullApart or UpullIt out there..... I'll go with the 8.8 out of the mid 90's explorers.... Bit stronger than the D35. Can be found with 4.10, LSD and rear disk brakes.... But do you really need the whole axle replaced? By the description on your other thread it sound(IMHO) like you just need the axle shaft. Sounds more like a bent drive flange on the axle shaft... Just my .02
I'm with JoeySnow sounds more like a bent shaft than a housing. Jack it up and spin the wheels by hand and see if you can see the tires wobble back and forth. I'd hate to see ya put a whole rearend in if all ya need is a shaft.

I'll have to try that... still leaves me looking for a shaft, I'm probably going to have about the same luck. Yeah we have U-pull-its over here, but there are absolutely NO, ZERO , Zilch, Nada Jeeps in any of them. And Explorers are a VERy rare find. There is some sort of "Jeep Underground" here. When they get wrecked they get scooped in the cloak of darkness and transported out of state. Most likely to be sold up north, since not many vehicles down here have rust issues.

a shaft is easy to ship though. it its wobbling its a shaft, possibly more.
If you don't mind driving to San antonio we have a huge pick n pull here, it is plentyful with jeeps and exploders, I can get some prices on rearends and whatnot, lemmie know, this weekend is a no go though, I have a 3 day drill, but otherwise I'm fairly free.

There's lots of Waggies in TX. You could buy the whole damn thing for cheap take what you want, part out or scrap the rest if it's AFU.

37" siped swampers with some other nifty bolt-ons.
Not sure what would help.?. If its just a shaft then you may be cheaper/less work to just order a new one and just replace it? You didn't say which rear you got...(why does that make me feel like blushing?) but if its the dana 35 I wouldn't get all excited about keeping it. Best thing going is you have a YJ. I put an Isuzu dana 44 in my YJ and planned on swapping in a driver side waggy 44 from an 80+. But if this is a quickie (here comes tht blush again...haha) maybe you could run two different wheel patterns with the Isuzu rear (6 on 5 1/2) and what you got now (dana 30 5 on 4 1/2) up front? Good thing about the Isuzu 44 is it also comes w/4.10s and LSDs sometimes, plus disc breaks on the rear. It would be a toss up between that and the Exploder 8.8 really?
The 8.8 is a bolt in swap, and has the same bolt pattern, the only issue would be the shock mounts and driveshaft, as the 8.8 has a flange shaft and diffrent shock mounts.
