Default New to us vehicle, Jeep?

We are in the market for four door SUV. We went and looked at several vehicles last week; 02-04 Grand Cherokee (my favorite), 03-07 Liberty, Ford Escape and she also sat in an Explorer that she immediately did not like. So, my wife is very short and hasn't been driving for all that long. She really likes her TJ because of the seating position and the visibility it offers. The Grand Cherokee does offer adjustable pedals which would work nicely for her but the blind spots are huge for her in that Jeep. The Escape is nice and the power seat can be adjusted great for her. It's nice but she likes the setup of the Liberty better. So, now to the Liberty; better looks, it's small and it's a Jeep. She hasn't sat in one with power seats yet so we are hoping to find one she can drive soon. Any of y'all know anything I should look for or avoid concerning a Liberty? I am not well versed in Liberty's. I am staying away from the 02 model as I don't buy the first model year of a new vehicle.

Liberty's are great vehicles, the biggest thing to make sure is done are the recalls on the balljoints, I've had mine for over 5 years and over hundred thousands and only issues I've had have been from mods and wheeling it hard.

The libby has IFS. I believe the grand from those years still has a solid front axle. A solid front axle is easier to maintain and better off-road. If that isn't an issue than I guess it would come down to personal preference. I had an 01 Grand and I liked it.
