An sye would be in your best intersts now
I'm no the brightest bulb in the set. But I could play an electrician on TV. That being said, I, about a month ago, figured out what SYE means. Now, please don't hold that against me. I do catch on eventually, lol! I have heard a few things about SYE and 4WP salesman told me I should get one for my rig.
Now to my question:
Do I need one?
Here are my specifics:
04 TJ DD, 4.0L, stock 5 speed transmission, stock TC, ARB locker front and rear, 4.56 gears front and rear, 4" skyjacker SL, 2" BL, 35x12.50x15 BFG KM2. If I left anything out, don't hesitate to ask.
I don't plan on going any taller in the near future, but I am looking at going up to a 6" LA and making this strickly a toy, with very minimum street legal capabilities (lol).![]()

If I offend anyone tonight, I apologize. That's not my intention. I'm not going to guess what your personal line of decency is. I cross my own from time to time. It's how I know I still have one. not that i actually cared in the first place.
"Cougar or not, I'd bang both those broads like a f***ing retard with a tambourine in each hand"
to correct the angle of your drive shaft and to minimize u-joint failure.

A good but long read:

I have only read thru questions 1a and 1b, but do they cover the TJ not just the XJ? I can get easily confused when specifics aren't mentioned. lol
An sye will lower the operating angles of the TC output, no matter what jeep they are put in. I wheel a grand cherokee, and I did the NP231 swap and am running an sye, to combat vibration and upgrading my shafts strength.

After skimming that write up I am going to say YES it will work on TJ's as well as other Jeep models.
