But all in all I can't complain got it tore down to almost bare block, not pulling the pistons after what I found. Not a single ridge on the piston walls, can still see the marks from the machine work from punching it to .60 over, popped a couple caps and bearings look brand new. Barely any wear on the cam and lifters, so I'm guessing around 20,000 or less on a rebuild. Very little carbon build up on the head, more on the cylinders that the intake was leaking on.
Got the block in primer, now for the decision on actual paint scheme for it
On to the down side, I only had 3/4 of a clutch, hoe it made no noise or signs that it was F'ed up is beyond me. Any opinions on clutch kits?
Luckily no scaring on the flywheel, just needs a resurface.

Well I was hoping to get the engine back together today, UPS sent my Gasket set to L.A. talk about the scenic route KY, CA, then GA. But at least I got every thing else cleaned up and most of it painted though.

Lmao. Whats the objective? A quick rebuild? Or just paint? Or both? Haha
Was gonna be a rebuild but piston holes, pistons, main and rod bearings looked great so just a reseal and dress up

Too easy. Lucky you
Well, since UPS still doesn't think I need the gasket set today I pulled the 3rd member out to check it out and change fluid, changed front diff fluid, installed a new windshield gasket, repacked the rear wheel bearings, and put on some ugly a$$ mirrors just so the MP's and cops will leave me alone. Oh yeah and removed the dash pad, looks so much better anyone want an CJ dash pad? It's free

UPS finally showed up with the gasket set yesterday. Picked up the new clutch kit, fuel pump, water pump, and all necessary fluids today. Waiting on a different carb to show up, found a MC 2100 for 17.00+shipping on ebay this morning so by the time I get everything back together and in the CJ that should be here. Hopefully will be back on the road by the 1st
