    Default question about CJ's

    the GF and i are having a talk about jeeps im trying to explain how 4wd and what not works and we're talking about her dad's old cj5 and from what i remember the cj's were never referred to as "wranglers" they were just referred to as CJ's am i wrong we CJ's called wranglers or were they just CJ's?

    CJ's are just CJ's. Stands for Civilian Jeep. The Wrangler tag didn't start until '87, with the 'square eyed step children' LOL

    ETA: The CJ's have been around since they started selling the CJ2A in '46 to the public, alot of the first ones had many surplus parts on them.

    Thats some awesome knowledge , guess any true jeeper should know it's origin . Like knowing the origin and Birthdate of your sevice .

    at least we still had leaf springs. Headlight thing is silly. Tj further from cj than yj...
