I won't have the rack above the spare or the bike rack. I'll have a better roll cage, but this is a good damn start.

That's clean! I hope to get mine back to 'pristine' this summer. No more hard wheeling in the CJ, just some hunting roads and Dairy Queen!

I'm going to rebuild for purpose and brand-new look. New shackle, new suspension, frame brought down blasted and coated. Tub lined in and out, etc etc. Doing the build sheet now. Gonna be pricey, but going to be worth it.

Heck yeah! They don't make 'em like that anymore, and they never will!

That's one reason I don't drive mine in the winter, they use way to much salt on the roads up here.

Mine is really solid, coming from TX, and has never seen a winter up here since I did the complete frame off rebuild.

I have over $10K into mine, over the last 12 years, not including labor. But that does include the original purchase price and buying another CJ for the running gear!

Nice. I have somewhere around 3 in it right now. Will likely dump in around 10 to get it done. I'll be updating my build thread with the sheet when its finished

Same reason I won't drive my YJ up here. I was in Alaska the other week and they don't use salt, just scrape the roads and add some sand.

Go glass and have the frame galvanized. That's what I did. I ran it all last year no worries. The only rust issues was the already sorry exhaust, but hey it's been on it since 2001.

I won't go glass because I don't want to have to worry about crushing it.
