    Default Clutch whistling?

I recently had my t-case replaced and now I hear a whistling...almost like an electronic tone...whenever I push the clutch in. Any ideas?

How many miles on your jeep?
It could the the throw-out bearing going out.
When mine went, it sounded more like a metal screech with the clutch pushed in.

Todd, I've had the throw-out bearing go on me a couple times before. This sounds nothing like that. There is no problem shifting or anything like that. Just an annoying whistling tone when I push the clutch in. Doesn't happen all the time though.

When my throw-out bearing went out, it was a metal on metal whistle type of sound.
I was still able to drive the Jeep, shift and all that good stuff, but made a really bad sound.

Could be something with one of your clutch plates or the like.

I think I would drop the tranny to see what is loose or what!

Whistling clutches, that is a new one...and one I have never encountered. How many miles on your clutch assembly? Has it seen water in the bell housing by any chance? I am still thinking throwout bearing...
