    Default ???Engine Rebuild???

So with Tax returns right around the corner I'm going to do either rebuild my 4.2 or replace it with a 4.0. My goal is more power and Fuel injection.

Should I go with the 4.0 (to be done by a local mechanic) or rebuild my 4.2 with some umph and a propane secondary system? If a rebuild does anyone have suggestions on rebuilding a 4.2?

Just incase your wondering the propane sytem is $800 compared to the Holley FI for $1200, both would eliminate stalls on the trail and start easier in the cold.

Hmmm, how about turning that 258 (4.2) into a 4.7 stroker?

    Just an idea.

Otherwise, if you can get a newer, low milage HO 4.0, that would be sweet!

Best of both worlds! More power, torque, and FI!!

One of the CJ guys just did the 4.0 head swap last fall, and did a write up on it. My CRS is acting up, and I can't remember who????

4.3L Cebby vortech is another pretty easy solution. Or the old standby 350.
