    Default Trailer question

Thinking of converting a M149 Water Buffalo trailer into a jeep trailer...Do you think the frame would be to heavy or high for a Jeep with a 4.0, 4" lift, and 33's

That's a fairly stout frame...it could be lightened, but it would almost be easier/cheaper to fab a full trailer on your own. there are tons of ideas out there on the web.

    Interesting idea though!

Don't they run a duece 1/2 tire on them?

By the time you swapped a reasonable axle under it, I think you'd be better off fabbing one up.

That said, if you get it cheap enough, an axle swap might be feasable.

IMHO it would be easier to build a lighter chassis. It can be done easy. I can send you pics of my old CJ trailer if you need an idea.

That is what I am getting from the replies...I thought it was to heavy, and couldn't remember thier actual size from when I was in. I see you are going to Camp MJ, maybe we can meet up and ride down together. I will probably trailer in case of brakage. I live just south of Apollo about a mile off Rt. 66.

Cool Medic. I think I saw the trailer the one in freedom? Don't do it if it is, it's heavy!
