As much as I like the Jeep and the deal you got, I would be more jealous of the dog. Have fun with'em both!

Thanks alot guys. Hes a little devil right now. I have to order his four point harness once the jeep is road ready. The tub already has the stock yj fuel spot welded shut and there has been minor repairs where there was surface rust. The gentleman that started the project felt it was necessary to put new steel instead of just sanding it down. I do not mind one bit. . The whole tub will be coated in Durabak this spring. White exterior, Red interior, Blue roll bar. The hood I plan on Painting as a Rebel Flag. Its going to be pretty when its not tan from MUD. The Frame will be Por15'd after I wire brush the few tiny spots of surface rust.

Today was a no progress day. Had to load a 258 up and go sell it. Did get the tub sat on the frame. Have to widen my mount holes. Picking up wiring harness and windshield and steering column tomorrow. Issue number one is front mounting holes have bolts broke off in them. Time to cut them flush and drill them out.

Cut the body mounts today to fit the YJ body lift. Started getting the stripped body bolts cut out of the tub as well. Mounted the break lights and have the wiring harness laid in the tub the way it should go. Motor came with a painless wire harness. Just didn't come with the fuse block and internal wires. Tomorrow I will finish getting the stripped bolts out and get the tub set on the frame all the way. Going to have to use some lift blocks on the welded in roll cage. That or cut it off and weld it higher. I think using lift blocks will be the better choice. Ill post a pic of what I'm talking about tomorrow.

Got the tub mounted and will post pics tonight. Had to cut the under cage out too mount it. Im assuming the last tub had a three inch lift on it. So I will have to cut and reweld the base mounts smaller. Had to cut three huges holes in the floor to cut the existing nuts out that were spinning in their carrier. I will post pics of that as well. Dipstick tube is a nightmare to get in. Wiring harness is the next thing to tackle. My roommate being the awesome guy that he is, is going to solder all my connections for me. Still need a steering column and grill. With those final pieces I can put it on the road. Have to switch to an HEI distributor because i dont have the ignition box for the 304.
