Default JK D30 with D44 axle shafts ??

Ok here is the deal. i dont have money to buy a new d44 or d60 for the front end of my 4 door. i can afford to 1/2 a$$ it and build the stock 30.

Now, can i put D44 Axle shafts into a D30 as long as i buy a D30 ox-locker set up for 30 spline (like the 30 spline front 44) (ox does make this by the way) i also want to retain my 4.88's currently installed.

also i want to buy the inner sleeve supports and c-gussets too. off road evo. said there sleeve kit clears upto a 30 spline. so if i can beef it all up with out changing the housing im good right ?

    input please !!

Pretty sure the shafts won't work because the 44's diameter is larger.

but the inner sleeve upgrade says they fit upto 30 spline and they sale them as JK or TJ and it says for 30/44 not 30 or 44. haha this is alot of work. but it will save me $1500 on not buying a new 44 housing also. thanks for you input though. superior makes super 30 kit that takes a d30-27 spline to a d30-30 spline with your choice of arb or eaton e-locker.

The inner sleeve is different than the shaft though. The shaft needs to fit into the carrier which will be able only to accept the prescribed size. You can get a new carrier, but the differential housing will be the wrong shape, etc etc.

Haha. At any rate, @gtmudy has a super 30 up front and is getting ready to move up to 37s if I'm not mistaken. He wheels his now on 35s. Gets on it too.

This is going to open a can of worms. I'll offer my 0.02, but its only how I'm going to do it for my reasons.

I like my jeep to do whatever I want and be an overall vehicle. When your in 2wd, you will not notice it. However, when you're in 4wd your turning radius will be restricted due to lockers. I'm putting a selectable up front so I can turn it off and still drive with power to the front axle, unlocked, and normal turning radius.

Again, my 0.02. It goes to your build goal. I want to it to drive like a street queen on road and a trail bitch off the road. I think selectable lockers will give me this.
