Default CJ Windsheild Frame VS Wrangler

Does anyone know what the major diffference is bettween the Cj and Wrangler windshield frames.

I recently bought the rollbar out of a wrangler and want to install a wrangler windshield frame so that i can utalize the additional bars that run from the rollbar to the windshield.

    Thanks for you inputs

i had a yj frame on my 77 cj5 the only differances are

    1. the location for the defroster on the cj go through thhe frame and the yj they dont so you will have to mod up some defrosters or mod the frame to flow the air through
    2. the tabs that hold the windshield up (the 2 on the inside that you have to unscrew to fold the frame down) are further apart on a yj so you have to oblong the holes on each tab so that they are cocked at a slight angle and then you have to oblong the hole that the bolt goes through so it will match your dash. thats the only thing you have to do to get it to get the frame to bolt up. its not hard and only takes a few min. with power tools
    3. the wiper motor plug will be differant due to the yj having intermitent wipers so you will have to come up with some kinda switch or tap it into your existing switch.
other than that thats all i know of

Do you still have your YJ frame for sale? And do have any idea what it would cost to send it to SD? I need to get the MOD completed!

I put a YJ bar in my CJ7, it was easy. Just install some nutserts in the windshield frame. On mine, I also brazed them in with my MAPP torch, for extra strength.

CJ is correct I didn't add the inserts I welded plates with tapped holes to the frame before I installed the glass and I cut out the holes for the defroster. Which was a misstake as the wind shield leaked at the bottom after that. I cut out too much metal from the frame.
