    Default what size tires?

My 31X10.5 tires are in need of replacement. My 02 TJ has a 2"BB and 1" BL lifts. I also have a 1" MML to get rid of driveline vibes. I also installed. 1.5" wheel spacers so I can reuse my canyon wheels at upgrade time. I have been told that I can safely run
33"X12.5" MT, but I am concerned with potential rubbing issues. I would like to hear from
anyone with a similar setup or is familier with this setup. I am vascillating between 32"X11.5" or 33"X12.5" MT. Thanks for the help!

You'll be fine with 33s. I was running 33x10.50 on the same setup that you have. I did put 33x12.50s on for a short time before I went to 35s (2.5" suspension, 1" BL).

    What motor/tranny/gears/axles do you have?

I would say 33s. That's just me. You may not like the 33s with the 3.73 gears. Gonna bog down a little, but is tolerable to some. Why not look into some 33x10.50s?

    thanks bobby.

when you say bog down, has it to do with accelerating from standstill on 2WH?
also, I can see advantage with 33X10.5R15 vs 33X12.5R15 being that a skinnier
tire will less likely rub on the LCA. will this same tire perform as well as the wider
    tire in the mud?

You'll notice the higher (numerically lower) gears on the highway and/or hills. You'll feel like you lost power, on acceleration. You'll have less rolling resistance with the 10.50, because there is less of a footprint, because it's narrower. The skinnier tire will dig down more, as opposed to the wider tire which tends to "float" more. You shouldn't notice it too much, as Jeeps don't weigh all that much.

I ran one of my TJs on 33x12s using a 2" spring spacer, 1" body lift and I also threw in a 1" MML. I did rub a little bit when at full lock, but not really bad. I ran that setup for about 2 yrs before I went up to a "real" lift and 35s. It's got a 2.5L and auto, so I was running 4.10s. It was pretty much a dog on the road but did pretty well ofroad. I regeared to 4.88s and ran it on the 33s for a couple weeks.....I LOVED the 4.88s and 33s, but when I went up to 35s it was back to being a bit of a dog on accel. It's tolerable to me, but my wife bitched about it when she drove it.....

    thanks...

"I did rub a little bit when at full lock, but not really bad." Was this during offroad articulation only?
33X10.5R15 seems to be available only with BFGs, not a common size. I figure with 33X12.5" that the
tire will stick out 1" more from where it is at now with 31X10.5...would this be correct?

If you keep the same wheels and do not put spacers on, yes.

If you go with the 12.5 and rub a little just tun the lock out bolt out a little so that it wont rub. Works great. You should have to worry too much with rubbing. I dont have your setup but have had plenty experince with rubbing.
