Lightbulb To Paint or Not to Paint......My Interior...

Alright folks, I'm ready for an experiment involving my interior and a rattle can or two...or 3. Yes I have used the "search" bar here on MJ, I'd hate to say it but it doesn't do as must justice as Jeep Forums. But to the point, who has done it...successfully. Can I see some pics, get some pointers. It's a jeep, I know the paint isn't going to hold forever, it's gonna get scratched yaddy yaddy. I'm thinking of just going with solid black, get rid of that peanut butter tan look. Whatcha got?

I'll try and find my pics. I did the panels on the inside of my CJ full doors (cloth) and the pull handles (rubber) with some of that rattle can paint made for plastic.

Worked great. Also painted my hardtop, using Rust-O-Leum (the kind made for using a brush) thinned with Naptha, and sprayed it using a paint gun.

    Door before:

After: The gray panel was the light (turd) brown like the upper part of the before door.

You can also see the visor at the top of the pic, did the same thing to it.

    Hardtop before:

    Prepped:

    After:

So, I say "Go For It!!!"

Can’t remember who makes it but a company makes a dye in a rattle can might hold up little bit better then regular paint but I don’t have experience with it just throwing that option out for upholstery and carpet. Other wise I’ve painted a few sets of wheels with good ole rustolem held up pretty good.

    Line-X
You can choose whatever color you like. It is very similar to bed liner.
I carry a gun because cops don't fit in my holster.
