    Default Jeep Alarms!

I dont know if I have really sh!tty luck or maybe everyone who owns a Jeep has this problem, but I am getting tired of having my stuff stolen / broken from thiefs. I want to say that today is about the 6th time that I have found evidence of someone being in my Jeep that was not welcome. Does anyone know of a decent alarm system for Jeeps? Dont say "lock your doors"... no sh1t thanks for the advice. I have a soft top and I am not in the mood to come out to a cut up soft top for a $40 MP3 player. I have heard of some radar alarm systems, just dont know what to go with. More than anything I want something that will let me know to go grab my gun.

You referring to an alarm with paging capability? Or just a noise maker?

I have a viper alarm with paging and noise making, I also run a soft top and topless so i have a motion sensor installed so if someone reaches past the point you set it gives a warning beep, also have it so if hoods opened it'll go off and if vehicle is tilted it goes off. Only problems I've had with it is the motion sensor has to be set right or rain will make it go off, but other then that i love how it alerts me, i can make it to my jeep with a weapon faster then cops can

Ill look into running the same systems. I am getting sick of this crap. Nothing would make me happier than holding a thief at gun point while I wait on the cops... actually I would be happier if they had a weapon and I could shoot them in self defense hahahaha.

when you look for an alarm, look for the motion like 05jeeper said. Also look into the proximaty sensors. 05 and i might be talking about the same thing. But from what i have heard, the proximaty sensor is money!

Don't leave anything in plain view. I know it's nice to have a nice stereo but a stock casette deck would keep them away too. I leave mine unlocked and top down, without an alarm system. Who really wants to steal and try to sell a stock POS casette player? I don't leave anything valuable in plain sight. Hell you can't even see my CB other than I have an antenna.
