Default Urgent Help Needed (Free Beer)

    Hello everyone,

Well, I'm just about finished with my OME suspension install on the TJ, however, I have run into a bit of a dilemma. Pretty much every tie rod end/ball joint type connection that I need to separate on my Jeep are completely seized up. I've tried the pickle fork method, wack-it-with-a-hammer method, freeze-off, WD-40 and a puller tool. All have failed. Which leads me to one conclusion: the user must be faulty. The connections in question are the front sway bar links, the steering dampener to draglink link and the front track bar to axle link.

That being said, is there anyone out there that can help me get my rig back on the road before this weekend comes? I have family coming into town this weekend and need use of the vehicle. I'm also coming off of leave this weekend and HAVE to be able to get to work next Monday.

I am located near Augusta, Georgia (otherwise pronounced as Joe-jah).

Please PM me on MilitaryJeepers if you are willing to come lend a hand. Beer and pizza on the house.

    regards,
    Joel

    Joel

If i understand correctly, which I am probably not because I am dumb, take a big ass hammer or mallet and hit the housing around the tie rod ends at your own risk to break them free. I a checking with chris to see if he remembers. brb

    Burn 'em out brother.

Edit: Gonna elaborate. on a jeep that I helped lift we ran into this dilemma. Nothing worked. We grabbed a big ass torch and heated them up, burning the guts out of the bushings. Then we kept tapping on the bolts till they popped out. Make sure you take ample cooling measures so as to not screw up your sway bar.

Just make sure you shave your head first so you don't catch your hair on fire.
