    Default Brakes

OK this is kinda of basic but I need to ask. I am getting ready to do the breaks all the way around my 96 Grand Cherokee 4 x 4 ZJ. I got disc breaks all the way around as you probably already know. Any ways I am wanting to know what kind of breaks do you guys recommend me getting. I was looking at the Duralast Ceramic break pads with the lifetime warranty. What do you guys think of these. I drive daily back and fourth to work about 10 to 12 miles a day on the road than just about every weekend on the trails, in the mud, or climbing hills/rocks. Just tell me what you think

I totally came into this thread expecting a jeep with broken parts rather than a thread about brakes.

Lifetime warranty is never a bad thing. I guess It just depends on how much you want to spend. Did your old pads not perform to your liking?

This is my 1st jeep and 1st 4x4. When the jeep was bought about 2 months ago they told me breaks would be needed soon. So they started making noises about 2 days ago or so so I was going to get new ones. Did know with playing in the mud, rocks, and trails if there was something better than others to put on. I spent just over 100$ on these but before i put them on just wanted to see what ppl thought of them.

I haven't used the Duralast Ceramics on my Jeep, but have on other vehicles and have had no issues. They are low dusting, which is nice if you have custom wheels, and a lifetime warranty is a wonderful thing, just make sure you keep your receipt. While you're at it take your rotors down to Vatozone and have them turned. They will measure them to make sure they will still be above minimum specs. If need be replace them.. You would hate to have to take everything apart again because your brakes feel low even though you just did them.
