    Default Roof racks?

I have a 97' TJ & I am considering the addition of a Gavin Wilderness Roof Rack. I am 50/50 in my choice. I have also thought of a light situation. I want to be able to see everything when i'm getting lost in the "fun" in Hawaii. Any ideas...
    Thanks

When I get around to putting one on I'm going with the Kargomaster one. I'm pretty sure (emphasis on pretty) that it has the highest weight capacity for TJs.

I know hitman76 has Garvin Roof Rack on a TJ. I was very impressed with it when I saw it in person compared to other roof racks I have seen. PM him to get his opinion.

kargomaster hands down. Only reason I pulled mine off is because I could no longer fit in any parking garage with it.

I have the KargoMaster. I went with them after much research. They have the best attachment and weight capacity. These are old pictures.

I had the Kargo master on my TJ. It was super stong,...but annoying loud! It sounded like a C--130 was flying over my Jeep everytime I drove. haha I personally would never instal another. IMG_4595.jpg

You know, that's not the first time that i've been told that they are really loud. I'm just really torn between getting one & not getting one. This sucks!

Another question... My TJ has a snorkel, would the mounts for the roof rack conflict with it or no?

I don't think so. @Fifthpro and @Jeffb_79 both had snorkels and kargomaster rack

go with the Garvin. It really fits nice with the body line of the jeep. Its strong and looks really good. I use it to haul around my tandem kayak for the most part. What i like about it is that you just unscrew a couple bolts up front and you can fold down your soft top because the rack tilts back. I will get some better pictures of it and post them up. I hear a lot about noise also between people that have racks and people that dont. I just transferred to Washington from So California. I drove about 12,000 miles and i couldnt tell any diff from now with the rack and prior to having it. Very happy with it. Most people that have jeeps around here flag me down time to time asking what kind it is. They all like the looks of it too. If you get the Garvin you will be happy with it.
