but i guess ill consider an 04-05 GC with the 4.7 or 5.9
or should i consider goin back to and XJ?
i figure if im gonna have a suv again might as well have the tow capac. and oomf to turn the bigger tires and be a lil more comfy. any thoughts?

If you go GC, 04, personally, would be the newest year to get. In 05 they went to a new design and IFS.
LJs are nice. I love mine and for all the reasons listed above.
JK Unlimiteds aren't bad either though.
Might want to look for a nice 2001 XJ too.
the 2011 JK 4 door Unlimited Rubicon has more space than the 2010 JK.
Even the tail gate glass is wider and lots of more room inside.
Voice command radio, Heated leather seats etc etc.

yea if the kids could climb in on their own id be all over a lj.. well one will be able to the other only 8 months... i hated gettin my daughter in and outta my 2dr jk.. killed my back... is the LJ wide enough for 2 car seats?

The LJ is wide enough for 2 car seats.
I had bolth of my youngest back there playing Mr Mom at night while my wife went to school. The LJ has more legroom then the TJ in addition to the extra space behind the seats. Dont know the diffrence between the legroom or ease of access between the LJ and 2 dr JK but it would prob be similar.

well the JK didnt have fold and tumble seats and didnt slide foreard a whole lot.

perhaps buy a used JK ulim with around 60-70k on it and with the money saved start savin for the RIPP supercharger... guess id have to see a LJ up close
