Default Rear corner guards & rocker panels

I'm really interested in getting some rear corner guards & having them rhino lined. Does anyone have them installed? How do you like them?

I have Rockmen full corners and rock sliders. Love them.

I opted for rattle can black in matte finish so they aint shiney but are nice and smooth. It was much cheaper than getting them rhino lined and if I scratch them up, I can just shoot a new coat of paint on them.

i ran a set of the originaly .375" PSC crusher corners. never had an issue. i did find out after taking them off that they were the only thing holding my tub straight as my doors wouldnt fit right after i took them off and i couldnt get the bolt holes lined up again.

i would not recommend the bedliner, i never understood the phenomenon with guys and bed liner. if it was so great dont you think pro's would be using it?

I would bedline something brand new. I wouldnt bedline something that had repaired rust. Lots of salt here in chicago. I saw someone who bought a bedlined jeep then 2years later his foot went through the floor. Cant treat rust you cant see developing till too late.

Idea to save dough on corners is psc makes cheapest short corners. Cut and weld 3/16 plate for side of jeep then weld together. A friend did it and looks great.

Rockers...I found a local place that broke a 3/16 plate for me. Was 100 for the work and steel. Then a friend welded some leftover dom from cage for tubes on the side. A bit bigger and wider then most mfg but works better for step and keeps trees off my hard top in winter. Also since I measured the rockers myself they go all way to frame not just couple inches. I nothched around body mount which worked out good since I addded a 1inch bl when I did v8 swap. I will look for link on rockers

Yeep, I am in your camp on that and I also do not recommend Powder coat. I can buy (and do) a case of 12 cans of semi gloss black at Wally world and keep my rig looking good for a year. Powder coat is not any more rock friendly than Wally world spray paint, they both peel off like a short skirt on a tall hooker. So why waste your coin IMO...

But, your jeep, your money do as you see fit.

I agree with the 'rattle can' for anything that might get scratched. Powder coat and some bed liners (like Dupli-color and Hec-U-Liner) will peel and flake when scratched.

I use rattle can on: Bumpers, sliders, diff covers, roll cage-basically anything that may ever get scratched.

I used Herc-U-Liner on the inside and underside of my CJ tub, after it was cleaned, prepped and primered.

But, there's armor on everything that will hit the rocks, and that's all rattle canned.

I agree with all the sentiments above. My TJ armor was all rattle can, I did line the tub, like HillBillE, which worked out well. The armor for the JK is going to be painted as well, so I can rattle can anything that gets scratched and not have to worry about it. Take your time, prep and spray properly, it will come out looking perfect!
